Delete your HairAgain account

HairAgain is made by Burnout Software. You can delete your account and everything in it from inside the app, in about a minute. This page has the steps, what gets erased, and what we keep.

The short version: in the app, open You, then Account settings, then Delete account. We email you a six-digit code to confirm it is really you.

01Delete your account from the app

  1. Open HairAgain and sign in, if you are not already.
  2. Tap You in the bar at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Tap Account settings.
  4. Tap Delete account.
  5. We email a six-digit code to the address on your account. Enter it to confirm.
  6. Your account and its data are erased straight away, and the app signs you out.

Deletion is permanent. We cannot bring an account or its photos back afterwards, so save anything you want to keep before you start. If you have a subscription, cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account as well, since the store handles billing and we cannot cancel it for you.

02If you cannot sign in

Email support@burnoutsoftware.com from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. We may ask you to confirm a detail first, so that nobody else can delete your account. We action requests within 30 days and usually much sooner.

03What gets deleted

Everything tied to your account is erased from our systems:

  • Your profile. Email address, account ID, start date, and your settings.
  • Your regimen. Treatments, schedules, and the times you set for each part of your day.
  • Your log. Every day you checked off, any shed levels you logged, and your notes.
  • Your photos. Every photo session and every image file, both on our servers and in the app's copy on the device you delete from.
  • Usage events. The small set of first-party events we record to understand how the app is used.
  • Your subscriber record with RevenueCat, the service that tracks whether a subscription is active.

04What is kept, and for how long

  • Encrypted backups. Our database backups hold a copy until they roll over. They are overwritten on a rolling cycle of no more than 30 days, after which nothing of yours remains in them.
  • Store purchase records. Apple and Google keep their own record of any transaction. Those belong to the store you bought through, not to us, and their policies govern them.
  • Records the law requires. Limited accounting or tax records of a payment, where we are required to keep them.

None of this is used to rebuild your account, and none of it is sold or shared for advertising.

05Removing some data without deleting your account

You do not have to delete everything to remove something. Individual photos, notes, and treatments can be deleted in the app, and you can change your regimen whenever you like. If you want help removing something specific, email us and we will sort it out.
